Our next outing will be to Boulder County Parks and Open Space’s Pella Crossing near Hygiene. This spectacular area offers excellent habitat and wonderful breeding birds throughout the summer. Our guide will be Carl Starace, an avid birder originally from Long Island, New York, where he grew up immersed in bird life. He became a guide for the Long Island Audubon chapter and participated in Christmas Counts and Breeding Bird Censuses. Carl’s been leading walks for BCAS since 2014, and Pella Crossing is one of his favorite areas, so we should be in for a good time together!

For more information & last minute updates, check the group’s Meetup page.
