    Trail Difficulty: Easy
Directions: Enter Washington Park on the southeast side, near where S. Franklin Street and E. Arizona Avenue meet. This
intersection is close to the nesting island in the southern lake -- Grasmere Lake. Meet at the island area.
Washington Park has been added to the DFO Colonial Waterbirds Project and is the origin for this field trip.
Expected birds are Black-Crowned Night Herons, Snowy Egrets, and Double-crested Cormorants. We'll check
out their nests and young and then continue walking around that lake and other parts of the Park further north.
Hopefully we'll find some warblers and interesting passerines. Bring binoculars and scopes, if you have them,
as they can facilitate our viewing of the young. Register online or contact leader.
